What you type stays in your browser
Your postal code, your town, your location and the calculator's figures (tonnes, moisture, days, haul cost) are worked with in your browser. They're never put in a page address, a page title or an analytics event, and this site keeps no record of them. The last search is kept in this browser tab only (sessionStorage) so the back button returns to it; closing the tab clears it.
One exception, and only for a postal code: your browser asks this site for the file of its first three characters (for S0K 1A0, the file for S0K), to find where it is. The rest of the code isn't sent. "Use my location" asks your browser for your position, which never leaves it.
The address of a page can carry a crop and a service (chosen from a list) and, from an elevator's page, that elevator: never anything you typed.
The street map
Street maps draw tiles from OpenFreeMap. On an elevator's page the map shows that elevator and its neighbours. Near you, the map stays off until you ask for it, because its tiles would tell OpenFreeMap the area around your search.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to count pages read and which tools are used (the method only: postal code, town or location; never what was searched). Google sets cookies to tell visits apart.
Advertising
This site may show labelled ads from Google AdSense at the end of an elevator's, a company's or a charge page, never on the finder, the calculator or search. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites; you can turn personalized ads off in Google's ad settings, and see how Google uses data at policies.google.com. An ad is never a recommendation and never changes the order of anything on the site. No ads run yet.
